Description

Trend Triple Chime Grandfather Clock in working condition with Moon Phase and Key.

Gerrit and Gordon Van Tamelen started making clocks under the Trend name in 1937. When it introduced hall clocks, it found it needed a supplier of mechanical movements. Beginning in 1951 Trend used the German company Schatz to supply its mechanical movements. Hansen and Schatz were suppliers for Trend through the 1950s. In 1968 Clocks made by Trend from 1937 to 1984 are usually marked on the dial with “Trend.” Trend was sold to the Sligh Furniture Company. From 1969-1984 Sligh continued to use the Trend name on its clocks. Clocks from this period will be marked with “Trend Clocks by Sligh.”
