Description

WW II German Swasitica Arm Band.

As the Owner of Yellow Brick Road Auctions, I would like you to know that Very Careful Thought and Consideration is given to any items that placed on one of my auctions. I am a proud daughter of a Korean War Veteran and I am also the Photographer for several Veteran's Groups, as well as, Honor Flight. I have accompanied several local Veterans on a regularly scheduled trip on Honor Flight which included veterans from WWII, The Korean War and The Vietnam War in order to photograph their journey to Washington DC and document their time visiting all of the National Monuments at Arlington Cemetery. I would like to let you know that I am proud to display any item brought back from any war our US Military has served in. I have also contacted the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Beachwood, as well as, several WWII Veterans from the local VFW's. One of the Maltz Museum managers I was able to speak with stated that they had no problem with the listing of these items as long as they were presented in the manner to which they are. Meaning they requested the importance of mentioning that these items were brought back by a US Veteran of WWII. I also felt it was important to mention that the Veteran, Mr. Edward Stevens, had involvement in the successful liberation and release of Prisoners placed in Concentration Camps not only in some cases possibly directly, but also by just his position as a Infantryman in this war. The WWII veterans that were contacted also did not feel that it would be offensive to list any of these items since they represent a time in history that may be very hard to think about and remember but, must never be forgotten and more importantly keep it's place in the education of our country.  Please know as Representatives of the preservation of historical documents and items, even when they represent a terrible time from our country’s past, this is something that is very important to correctly represent what happened.
