Description

Original Jim Ptacek "St. Malachi" with Cleveland Skyline Giclee´ Print. Hand Signature at bottom right.

St. Malachi Church was formally dedicated in March 1871 in Cleveland’s Irishtown Bend neighborhood which is now called “Hingetown, to place an Irish parish closer to residential sections. Father James Maloney was the first pastor. It became known as a "port church" due to the cross on it's steeple being illuminated to help guide ships on the lake. In October 1990, St. Malachi's celebrated 125 years.
