Signed Jean Dufy Oil Lithograph Print titled "Place de la Concorde" signed at bottom left.

Jean Dufy (1888- 1964)Dufy became best-known for his panoramic views of modern Paris, capturing the architecture, activities and electricity of the city. The Place de la Concorde was one of Dufy's favored subjects, appearing in dozens of canvases he created from the 1930s through the 1950s. After his military service from 1910 to 1912, Jean moved to Paris and grew acquainted with Derain, Braque, Picasso, and Apollinaire. His first watercolors, which were shown at the Berthe Weill gallery in 1914. In 1916, he started thirty years of decorating porcelain for Théodore Haviland in Limoges. His works are displayed in the collections of the most prestigious European and American museums including the Musée national d’Art moderne, Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Albertina Museum in Vienna, the Art Institute of Chicago and the MoMA in New York,
