Description

Original 8-Piece Mid Century Culver Coronet Rocks Glasses with Culver Signature Stamp. Very Minor wear as can be seen in photographs. 6-Piece Sets of Culver Rocks Glasses have sold on past auction in prices ranging $549.00 - $606.00.

Culver glass was founded by Irving Rothenberg in 1939 in Brooklyn, New York.  Culver was the largest importer of ice buckets and bar accessories in the United States. In the late 1950s, the company used a classified process of applying gold to the outer surface of its glass. This technique resulted in glassware featuring decals, patterns, and inscriptions in 22-karat gold, for which Culver Glass soon became famous and  remain highly sought after by glass and barware collectors. In 1996, Culver was purchased by Moderne Glass Company, Inc. Moderne Glass became the exclusive glassware decorator of world renowned Fiesta in 1997. They are a licensed decorator for Keith Kimberlin, MoMA, and Ned Smith. They began recreating the vintage Culver designs today with a newer process.
