Description

Piece of Wood from The Big Dipper Roller Coaster at Geauga Lake Amusement Park. Gold Chrome Plate on front. The former owner of his remnant was a member of the American Coaster Enthusiast Club.

Geauga Lake was an amusement park in Aurora, Ohio. The Big Dipper was the park's first roller coaster and originally opened in 1925 as the Sky Rocket. In the late 1940's it was renamed The Clipper.  In 1969 it became The Big Dipper and was the oldest operating roller coaster in Ohio and 7th oldest in the United States when it closed with the park on September 16, 2007. The Roller Coaster was demolished in 2016.
